+ ISSWWf Public snow & avalanche workshop 2026

As part of the International Snow Science Workshop (ISSW) 2026, we’re excited to host a Public Snow and Avalanche Workshop (a.k.a. Public Day) on Wednesday, September 30, where we open our doors to the wider community to explore the science and practice of snow and avalanche safety.

Presented in Partnership with Avalanche Canada, this one-day seminar invites avalanche professionals from around the world and local members of the snow and avalanche community to engage in dynamic discussions and learn from experts in the field.

Participants will have access to:

- Interactive booths and industry exhibitors.

- A curated selection of technical talks suitable for a general audience.

- Access to the technical posters of the conference.

- A dedicated program of public-focused presentations exploring a range of topics, including the latest in snow and avalanche research, avalanche education, public awareness, risk management and the latest advancements in snow safety gear.
